The eID building block is a set of services provided by the European Commission to enable mutual recognition of national electronic identification (eID) schemes across borders.
The eID building block enables access to public and private online services for users with their own national eID, anywhere in the EU, quickly, easily, without unnecessary obstacles and with a high level of security and protection of personal data.
