EU basic glossaries of e-Government are easy-to-use and extensible data models that describe the basic characteristics of an entity, such as a person or an institution.

Public administrations can use and extend core vocabularies in the contexts of information exchange between systems, integration at the data level, data publication, and the design of new computer systems.

The EU defines the following basic vocabularies:

  • Public service
  • Locations
  • Evidence and criteria in public procurement
