Public administration bodies are obliged to fulfill the legal obligation to obtain data from public registers ex officio (Act on State Information Infrastructure, Official Gazette 92/2014). This means that the body that carries out a certain business process in which certain information from the party in the proceedings is necessary, will not require the submission or delivery of that information from the party in the proceedings, but will obtain the same information using the state information infrastructure through secure data exchange via GSB (English Government Service bus).
With the establishment of the GSB as a central place for secure data exchange, a unique technical platform has been set up through which bodies connect to the GSB with one connection, and further using that one connection they retrieve data from different authentic sources (public registers), depending on the business process that the body is responsible for implement and set the data necessary to complete the process.
The method and steps of integration on the GSB are described in the Technical Specification (document State Bus Standards - technical specification). All potential users of GSB are given access to documentation through the Wiki Portal of the Shared Services Center after user authentication.
